On June 27, 2022, AFENET launched a 5-day intensive manuscript writing workshop in Abuja, designed to equip residents and graduates of the Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme (NFELTP) with essential skills in scientific writing and publication.

The primary objective of this workshop is to enhance the research and writing capabilities of participants, ensuring they can produce high-quality, submission-ready manuscripts based on their work in COVID-19 and other public health priorities.

The workshop features hands-on mentorship from NFELTP alumni and esteemed academics from:
✔ Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

Participants benefit from practical training sessions that cover key aspects of manuscript development, including:
•Structuring scientific papers
•Data presentation and interpretation

This initiative is supported by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), further underscoring the commitment to capacity building in epidemiological research.
