Intern Program
AFENET’s Internship and Adhoc Engagement Programme plays a vital role in developing a skilled and passionate public health workforce across the continent. Many former interns and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members have gone on to take up key roles within AFENET and its partner institutions, contributing meaningfully to field epidemiology and health systems strengthening. Interns and adhoc staff are integrated into teams across various departments and are actively involved in ongoing projects, gaining hands-on experience and increasing levels of responsibility over time. Opportunities are available in core public health programmes, as well as in support functions such as finance, communications, IT, monitoring & evaluation, and logistics.
