WHO WE ARE

NATIONAL STOP TRANSMISSION OF POLIO (NSTOP) PROGRAM, was established in July 2012 in response to the National Polio Eradication Emergency Plan (NPEEP) to strengthen the Nigeria polio eradication program at the operational level. NSTOP works in collaboration with Government Ministries, Agencies and other implementing partners.

PURPOSE
To provide Nigeria with high quality and culturally competent technical field support staff in high-risk areas to implement the polio eradication emergency plan (NPEEP) and PEI accountability framework and build local capacity to improve maternal and child health indices strengthen the Nigeria polio eradication program at the operational level. 07. COVID-19 MASS VACCINATION CAMPAIGN PROJECT:

The RI unit provides technical support to the NPHCDANational COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy Group to strengthen the ramping up of COVID-19 vaccination. In addition, the team also supports Adamawa andKwara states in COVID19 mass vaccination, including demand creation and provision of surge teams in 11 and 8 LGAs of the two states, respectively. The implementation is ongoing with constant monitoring and supervision to reach targeted clients.

08. SURVEILLANCE:

NSTOP collaborates with NCDC, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and National Polio Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) to enhance AFP surveillance in Nigeria. The project supports the government in sustaining high-quality polio surveillance and other vaccine-preventable diseases through the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response at the LGAs in collaboration with other GPEI partners
