State Operation Management team is a small technical team in the National EOC that is charged with the responsibility of following up with the various state governments on their preparedness and response activities and needs. The team mobilized and deployed epidemiologists to all the states that had not reported confirmed cases of COVID 19 to assess their preparedness level, help them develop pre incident action plan and administer a preparedness checklist on them to identify and strengthen areas of weakness. This action of the EOC was very helpful in early identification of cases and prompt institution of the response activities in those states. The team also followed up with states that were already in response mode to troubleshoot on challenges. Those that could not be resolved were promptly escalated to the appropriate authority and followed up with prompt response.
