AFENET Nigeria together with NCDC and other partners (US CDC, UNDP, WHO, UNICEF, University College London) constituted a small think tank made up of experienced epidemiologists, data managers, policy makers and other stakeholders to periodically examine the available data from the surveillance, surveys, and other sources in order to understand the pandemic and advice policy direction.

The epidemiological data review takes place weekly for in-depth review of the epidemiological data. The considered data quality issues in surveillance and laboratory data, monitor the progress of the outbreak in the country, inform the national response strategies, conduct modelling and evidence synthesis, develop hotspot strategy and dashboard / visualizations with the UNDP team.
