NSTOP in partnership with National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) organized the first southwest zonal performance review meeting on the District Health Information System2 (DHIS2) Routine Immunization (RI) module.  Fifty-three (53) participants were in attendance comprising representatives from Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), NPHCDA and representatives from all the states in the zone.

The DHIS2 national focal person, Dr Samuel Obasi, presided over the meeting and presentations were made by states showcasing their successes and highlighting challenges encountered. The sessions were participatory and very interactive, thus, proffered solutions to multiple challenges.  The capacity of all key RI staff at the State, Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Health Facilities (HF) was built on generating, interpreting and usage of quality RI data for decision making. Furthermore, outstanding states were appreciated for their enormous contribution and dedication to work.

As it is peculiar with NSTOP, the capacity of participants was also built on the usage of Quantum Graphic Information System (QGIS) for conduct of map analysis.
DHIS2 RI module has been rolled out in the whole country and is aimed at improving healthcare workers capacity to generate and use high quality RI data for decision making and action.
