Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV Cascade Evaluation in high burden states in Nigeria Report Writing workshop was held at Renaissance Hotel, Ikeja Lagos from 4th through 8th December 2017. The workshop which aimed at analyzing and developing a zero-draft report following a 40-day field data collection exercise where over 8,500 HIV positive pregnant women who attended antenatal, labor and delivery and 72 hrs postpartum within 2014 and 2015 records were abstracted in 12 states across 111 evaluations sites.
The project aimed at identifying gaps and attrition along the various stages in the PMTCT cascade and exploring potential achievable and sustainable opportunities for program improvement. The workshop was well attended by CDC Atlanta & Nigeria, FMOH NASCP, NACA, implementing partners and AFENET.
